Solar for Singapore landed homes · 2026

Harness the sun. Lower your bill. Put your roof to work.

Every year your roof sits in the same Singapore sun, catching heat and doing nothing else. A solar system turns that into lower SP bills and clean, renewable power — on terrace, semi-detached, detached and GCB homes. We survey the roof, design the system, build it with our own crew and lodge the SP Group application. Your part is an hour at home and a signature.

In short

A landed system pays for itself in three to four years at current SP rates and keeps producing for another twenty. From your first message to switch-on takes about eight weeks — but only two to four days of that is work on your roof. The rest is design and the SP Group application, which we handle end to end.

Calculator assumptions
Peak sun hours3.0 kWh/m²/dayUsed as an effective figure, already net of heat, soiling, cabling and inverter losses. Works out at about 1,095 kWh per kWp per year — deliberately below the 1,200–1,300 some installers quote.
Grid tariff$0.3478 per kWhSP Group regulated household tariff including GST, 1 July – 30 September 2026. A record high, up 17% on the previous quarter. Revised quarterly by EMA — check this every quarter.
Export rate$0.2536 per kWhSP's Simplified Credit Treatment formula: the regulated tariff before GST (31.91¢) less network and grid charges of about 6.55¢. Stable, and it rises whenever the tariff rises. This is not the volatile wholesale rate — that one applies to ECIS, for households on a retailer plan.
Day / night usage split50% / 50%Typical for a landed home with daytime aircon. Power you use yourself avoids the full $0.3478; power you export earns $0.2536. The calculator uses 50% as a middle figure. In practice it runs nearer 45% on a terrace and 80% on a GCB, which is why payback shortens for larger homes.
Smallest system we install8 kWpBelow this the fixed costs — survey, scaffolding, submissions, commissioning — stop making sense against the generation. Single-phase supply caps most homes around 12 kWp; three-phase carries far more.
Blended value per kWh$0.3007The average worth of every unit your roof produces at a 50/50 split. Note how close it sits to the full $0.3478 tariff — that narrow gap is what makes Singapore solar unusually good right now.

Why Easy Solar

We were roofersbefore we were solar installers.

Most solar companies come to roofs from electrical work or from sales. We came from seven years of roofing and waterproofing on Singapore landed homes — so we think about what your roof is doing long after the panels are up.

Roofing first

Roof work is our own trade.

Fitting an array means lifting tiles, refitting them properly and working around the existing flashings — and putting right anything the roof needs while it is open. We spent seven years on roof removal, reinstallation and waterproofing for Singapore landed homes before we fitted a panel, and the same crew does both jobs. If a section needs waterproofing first, we handle it rather than sending you to another contractor. How we mount on tile, metal and flat roofs.

House-specific design

Built for your roof and your sun path.

Singapore sits at 1.3° north, so the sun tracks almost straight overhead and the optimal tilt here is nothing like the textbook figure used in temperate countries. We model your actual sun path across the year, the shading cast by your own parapets and gables and by whatever stands next door, and the way the northeast and southwest monsoons change both irradiance and rainfall. Then the layout follows your roof — pitch, orientation, plane by plane — rather than a template stretched to fit.

Tier 1 panels, premium materials

The parts you never see are where corners get cut.

Panels are the visible part and almost every installer quotes something reputable. The savings get made underneath: thin cable, budget inverters, mild-steel or aluminium mounting that pits in a coastal climate. We specify oversized copper cable to keep voltage drop low across long runs, high quality mounting and fixings, Tier 1 modules from Aiko or LONGi, and inverters from Sungrow, Huawei or Deye. It is all listed by model in your quote, so you can check it against anyone else's.

Full turnkey service

One company accountable for the whole job.

Our own designers draw it, our own crew does the roof and installation work, and we prepare and lodge the SP Group application ourselves. Certification and energising is done by a Licensed Electrical Worker — a role EMA licenses to individuals, so like most installers we engage one, brief them and manage the process. You never have to find or coordinate anybody. If something needs adjusting in year four there is one number to call and no argument about whose responsibility it is.

1Company accountable, start to finish

Full-service, in-house

Who does what.

One team owns the whole job — design, supply, roofing, installation, the SP application and the aftercare. Electrical certification is done by a Licensed Electrical Worker we appoint and manage, so you are never left chasing a contractor or an authority.

Why now

Grid power keepsgetting dearer.

SP's regulated tariff rose 17% on 1 July 2026 — the largest single-quarter jump in years, and the highest household tariff Singapore has had.

Because the export credit is set at the tariff less grid charges, both halves of a solar return went up together. Every quarter the grid gets dearer, a roof gets more valuable.
